At the end of October expressed itself the responsible so-called regional church in an announcement to the case Röschenz: „Obvious blocking of reforms in our church requires the care of an open discussion culture “. The text.

(, Basel kreuz.net) the Synode decides the following announcement in accordance with § 20 paragraph 2 of the condition of the Roman-catholic regional church of the canton Basel landscape from 10 February 1976:

First the Synode holds that she rejects any reviling opposite our bishop and its coworkers.

In particular is it the opinion that unresolved problem areas of our church cannot be supplied in this kind of a solution.

Loyalty - although a critical - must be natural for us.

So also the regional church and the Kirchgemeinden have to recognize the teachings and the legal order of the Roman-catholic church in accordance with our condition - § 2 paragraph 2 -.

We resist in addition, a personalisierte close guidance of the occurrences around the Kirchgemeinde Röschenz on our bishop Kurt cook and on Pfarradministrator Franz Sabo.

The fate of the Pfarrei concerned, their behavior and its signal effect employ us far more.

Here a Kirchgemeinde shows up determined to employ a priest also without bischöfliche Missio further. Valid, but without permission donated Sakramente is the result taken consciously in purchase!

Thus however a development threatening for our church announces itself: Vital Stimmigkeit threatens to run off church-official correctness rank.

It is no longer so much the dogmatisch defined truth, than rather the seelsorgerliche truthfulness, which faith agreement finds.

In its consequence therefore the neglect of the permission question (Missio) leads also to the neglect of the authorization question (consecration).

With an arbitrarily busy priest a valid, but bad Sakramentenpraxis threatens to make for school and for one „usurpation “also not more dedicated - however evenly more convincingly - Theologinnen and theologian the door open.

The consequence would be not only bad, but also invalid „Sakramentenpraxis “.

In this conflict-laden church climate the Synode expects that church members and its selected representatives are seriously taken by the bishop as gefirmte Mitchristen and citizens of age in its sense of faith and democratic feeling.

The Synode would like to go with the diocese administration the future way together and in mutual respect with one another.

Obvious blocking of reforms in our church requires the care of an open discussion culture and in our Swiss conditions constructional co-operation between national church-legal-nationalchurch and canonical diözesanen committees and instances.

It does not concern that the urgent material solution of the problems is tabuisiert around Sakramentenpastoral (in the ecumenical context also divorced ones and homosexual permission again-married intercoming union, in handling to the Sakramenten), office question (in particular woman surgery) and episkopale Communio (localchurch autonomy and papal Petrusdienst) „from downside “polemisiert “and „from above “.

We expect therefore from our bishop that it calls this need for action also in the public with the name and in solidarity with other bishops in Rome announces.

We refer thereby to support of the explanation of the Luzerner Synode decided of our Synode on 2 December 2003 [of Rome among other things the surgery from priest inside demands A.d.R].

Is the church a democracy? No!!! But such advice want that. That is also the reason that it becomes ever worse.
