Last night God called the foundress of the Fokolarbewegung before its judge chair. It wanted to serve for to the peace and unit.

In the morning it let bring itself on own desire of the hospital into its Fokolar in Rocco di Papa with Rome, in order to decide their life in the circle of their friends.

Mrs. Lubich spent the last thirty days because of breath problems in the Roman Gemelli hospital. Pope Benedikt XVI. you had written still this week a personal letter and had insured it its prayer.

Biography

Chiara Lubich saw the light of the world on 22 January 1920 in Trient. Their parents baptized it on the name Silvia. 1943 entered it the third medal of the Franziskaner and selected the name Chiara.

The mother of the deceased was a gläubige Katholikin their father against it a Godless socialist.

1938 became Mrs. Lubich people lady teacher and informed in different villages. Finally it began the philosophy study in Venice, had it off however because of the Second World War to break.

Against the background the war experiences created it 1943 the Fokolarbewegung, an ecumenical layman movement within the catholic church. Up to its death she remained president of the combination.

The movement created by Chiara Lubich particularly works for the Ökumenismus and the inter+religious dialogue.

The Fokolare feels also different religions and non-religious world views connected.
