AFP - Thursday, 12 July, 07:46 clock Washington (AFP) - the individualism spread in western societies impaired obviously the ability for the kommunikativen change with the fellow men: This results from a trade-off study between US citizens and Chinese of the University of Chicago. According to the results, which are published in the magazine „Psychological Science “, with a comparison by in each case 20 test persons it was stated that Chinese behaved far more cooperatively than Americans.

The attempt consisted of the fact that on a cross-hatched field objects had to be shifted. The instructions were given by a fellow player, who could see the field only partially. Some the objects covered on the field two Karos, could however by the Anweiser only to the half be seen. Chinese test subjects showed themselves in an experiment as more einfühlsamer than Americans. They mastered a task of team clearly better - because they put themselves into the position of the Gegenübers. Researchers attribute this to cultural differences.
